Disclaimer: These definitions are not the true definitions. These are just humorous descriptions of someone you know, maybe Sister Thomas, or Brother Jones. Anybody who goes to church or has been to church knows someone who uses these phrases in this way or have done it themselves! It is not meant in any way to be offensive or condemning, just get your stuff together!

Anointing: Used to describe any non-regular emotion (crying in the middle of a song when you forget the words, telling the church off(particularly when its over tithes and offering),doing the Olympic shout around the church (first one
that hits the wall gets a white hanky tied around their neck!)

Trick of the Enemy: Used to describe anything that happens because you didn't do what you were supposed to, like your car getting repossessed cause you didn't pay the note, lights getting shut off cause you quit work to go on tour with the pastors choir, or your child repeating the first grade cause he missed the whole second semester to go on a 90 day/90 night fast and consecration.

Rhema Word: Any message from an out-of-town pastor or evangelist.

Prophetic Word: Same message from that out-of-town pastor, delivered 5 decibels louder, while the congregation is standing. Quiet organ music optional, but works better with silence.

Carnal: Used to describe a saint who goes to the movies. This term doesn't apply if you rent the same movie from Blockbuster.

Didn't God Move!!: What saints say after a long service where the pastor doesn't preach and they just shout the whole service.

Unlock Your Blessing: What preachers say after they've finished preaching, and they say you must give $50 to "unlock your blessing". For a more dramatic effect, this offering can be started at $1,000 and worked down
to $25.

He'll Do It If You Let Him (followed by inaudible tongues): Round one of shouting will begin in 5 minutes. Organist get ready.

We Got To Move On: What the preacher says when he wants shout time to start up again. Organist, turn up the volume on the Leslie.

We Have Time for One More Testimony: Not really, we're just waiting on the pastor to come into service. If you're called on during this one, when you hear clapping, just stop talking, cause the pastor has walked in and people are no longer interested in what God did for you.

We Can Never Pay for the Word: Get your checkbook out, the auction will begin momentarily! This phrase always comes before the offering is taken for the
guest speaker.

God Has Been Dealing with Me on Some Issues: I'm still doing what I was doing before I got saved, only now I just put in an extra $5 in my offering when I do it.

Is He Worthy?: Of course He is; why ask a question like that.

Let us go to God in our own way: This is what you say when they ask you to pray in church and you don't know what to say.

Get Ready, Get Ready Get Ready!!!: Don't really know what this one means, but if you're not careful, a shout could break out when you say it. It must be said three times to have real impact.

I can't get no help: Preachers say this when no one says amen in the spot they thought would get a lot of amens.

I'm Blessed and Highly Favored: Said when a fellow saint asks "how are you?" Memo to saints: you CAN be saved and answer "fine" when someone asks how are you.

Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty: Whenever you want to disrupt service and holler out when it's quiet, use this statement to justify your behavior.

Get ready to go to the next level: This means the church will be hosting another revival in a few months.

Stand to your feet: This gives the illusion that the preacher is finished, but be prepared to stand up for at least 1/2 hour. May be cut to 15 minutes if the organist starts playing softly.

Give God a Shabach: Scream to the top of your lungs. Some church members may blow whistles, shake tambourines and wave flags as well.

Every head bowed, every eye closed: Quick! everyone look around to see who's getting saved again this week.

Secular: Any person, place, object or event that's not in the church.

The "Yes Lord" song: Signals the official end to shout time. Anyone still shouting when this song is over is considered to be "in self".

In Self: Used to describe someone who acts alone in church. For example, someone who is shouting alone. Add two more people to this display and its called...

In The Spirit: When three people are doing the same thing in a church service at the same time.

Prayer partner: Phone buddy. 5 minutes of prayer, 1 hour of church gossiping

Hey y'all!!!!!

I am getting tired of the lies that the enemy tells a lot of females that I know. He tells them that they are not worthy of TRUE LOVE; that they need to please a man in order to get what they want, that they need to basically prostitute themselves in order to get what they desire! Not so says God! I know how that feels because I used to feel that way. I used to feel like man this is how it's going to be for the rest of my life! But God said no!

These feelings are a result of a confidence deficiency in yourself. Your self-respect, self-worth, self-image are all so distorted that you find yourself giving into any and every deception of the devil. The little voices in your head saying that you need to loosen up and take that drink, or that it won't hurt you to have sex with this dude and that dude. Those are lies told to you by the enemy, deceptions, delusions, illusions, lies all lies! He is the father of lies! and it does hurt. That is compromise. Compromise of character, morals and values is not good in any way, shape or form!

 I am also tired of hearing that we need a man to complete us or to bring us happiness! Again not so! A man or woman or any other material item should bring completion to your being. God should. You should have all voids filled by God first and then allow things to add to that. God should be the foundation of your happiness, not those things. Allow God to give you joy unspeakable joy and the rest will follow.

God offers us his love as a gift. He sets the example for what LOVE really is. Look at it y'all... 1 Corinthians 13:1-7

Love ......

13:4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;

13:5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;

13:6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;

13:7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. That's the characteristics of real love not that stuff that fades away after 2 weeks, not that mess that makes someone treat you like a stranger in public. That is the result of lust.

So in closing I would like to say thank you Lord for taking off my blinders and allowing me to see the marvelous light, because I walked around with blinders on for so long. I thank for helping my friends and family and delivering them out of similar situations so that they too can see the light. AMEN!

Wassup everybody!!!

My week has been alright I guess. God is good as always, I've just been going through a couple of things you know, Boys and the like. Have I ever told you guys about them soulties? All I got to say about those is that you should get rid of them if you have any! What is a soultie you ask? A soultie is a spiritual tie between you and someone else. It can be caused by sexual relationship or intimate connections made in friendship or any other relationship. Not all soulties are bad, I'm talking about those unhealthy, unproductive connections we have made with people. Soulties can cause someone to become jealous, vengeful, or prideful when the see or hear about the other party moving on because your still stuck on them.

Sex is meant to bind two people together. God says that the two become one flesh. So when you have sex with someone you are tying yourself to that person. The question is how many people are you tied to? Another question is what are you tied to? Having soulties can mess up future relationships, and friendships if you hoard or harbor all those feelings and emotions that are attached to that situation. That's how people vivdly remember past experiences or events with people, It's because they are holding onto something from it. Smells, sounds, touches, and thoughts can remind you of that event.

Especially women. We are incubators. We carry things. We incubate those things said to us, good or bad. We nuture that thing! We meditate on or contemplate those things. That is a natural habit for a woman. So it is especially important that we let go of some things. Love you, God loves you, Peace out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Romans 12:1,2

12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Clearly stated in the word of The Living God is our instructions on how to live in this world of mayhem and utter craziness as a christian young man or woman. V. 1 We must present our bodies as a living sacrifice to God, HOLY and ACCEPTABLE TO GOD, which our reasonable service. By reasonable it means that it is within means, it is not impossible. We must circumsize the flesh or things our bodies want daily in order to draw closer to God. V. 2  And don't be conformed to this world. But be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that Good, acceptable and perfect will of God. We are not to behave in a manner similar to the people we see on T.V. We are not to listen to the same music or crave(lust) the same clothing or hairstyles or fads or trends, read the same books, magazines or any of that. I'm not saying that it will be easy at first, but day by day it will become easier. Renewal of the mind is daily, daily, daily. Think of the years that you have spent living a double life. It tooks years to get there so to get back to the way it was supposed to be will take a while. And only through these processes will you be able to manifest or show forth the good, acceptable, perfect will of God. Only then will your witness be of full effect. When people can say oh I see something different about you or that you actin' funny I take that as a compliment that I must be changing in a way that I will soon be unrecongnizable to the people I used to indulge in lustful activities with. There will be an recongnizable change, you will mature spiritually and you should make a visible change. Paul says, When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things 1 Cor 13:11. On your way to maturity you must find yourself putting those childish things, not just the toys! By the way, you can't be walking around still playin' with toys at 30! People would talk about you! God expects the same spiritually. You can't be walking around quoting 23rd Psalms as your defense for the devil all the time. Get off of the baby food. We need to advance spiritually or else we gon' be the same forever and never get to see the goodness of the lord in the land of the living. Psalm 27:13 Lastly God says to flee those things that we want, or crave but he says we cannot have (either in his word or from his mouth), by the way that's the defenition of lust.

Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

2 Timothy 2:22

Note: God always tells you what to do after you've given something up, he didn't just say run. If he just said run we'd be runnin for the rest of our lives. He always gives you an escape or alternate route.(1 Cor 10:13) He says that if you pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace you will be able to make your stand.

You Guys I really did have this conversation with myself. I wonder if everyone on this earth Knows how unique and complex and 1ofakind they are. Everyone has different thoughts and opinions and stuff running through their head at different times than other people. For two people to think the same thing at the same time is something that does'nt happen too much out of the 24 hours in a day.

I appreciate the fact that I am unique and complex. I don't want to be like some of the other girls on the internet that may feel to get more attention they have to be showin' somethin or whatever. I'm not knockin' them or nothin (hold up yes I am! more on that later) because if you feel like you gotta give instructions on how to give head to get attention or show pictures of your body, then go ahead. But for someone to do that and then have the name of Jesus on it is MESS in all caps. That's dragging my savior's name through the mud and that I don't like. You see I have to make it personal because he made it personal when he died for me and everyone else's sins and shortcomings. 

But, for someone to put Jesus' name on MESS like that shows a loss of respect and reverence for him and also for themselves. We need to turn back to God and give him his due respect because that is our resonable service. Think of what God is doing and has done for you and you will want to turn from your ways. Think of what your friends have gone through and what God has KEPT you from. My God is a KEEPER, he will keep you from dangers seen and unseen, I just want for you to think of what may be unssen in your life. Think of what those things MAYbe. You could have been paralyzed, But God. Or blind, But God.  Or even dead, But God.
